Primary Responsibilities
- Manages, supervises, and develops direct-report Production Managers to drive operational excellence and professional accountability, ensuring all team deliverables prioritize departmental goals and corporate standards.
- Delivers excellence in production management services to brand partners while upholding company standards, departmental goals, and best practices for final production delivery.
- Acts as the central point of contact and partners cross-functionally with brands, programming, development, talent management, finance, and external vendors to ensure high-quality content delivery under tight publishing deadlines, successfully balancing creative goals with the enforcement of company best practices, operational policies, and fiscal parameters.
- Supervises and hands-on execution of all physical production finances, driving end-to-end budgeting (including sales BIB estimates), expense tracking, and cost reporting, while maintaining final oversight and approval of payroll, invoices, and T&E.
- Oversee end-to-end production logistics, including the sourcing, booking, and onboarding of talent, crew, and equipment, while directly managing payroll processing, corporate card accounts, vendor invoices, and comprehensive wrap deliverables.
- Manages and executes the legal agreement workflow, vetting deal terms against corporate guidelines, and submitting Production Company agreements, ensuring contract compliance throughout production.
- Manages and troubleshoots production issues as they arise, including coordinating insurance risk assessments, permitting, rights, compliance, and release issues, in a timely manner.
- Provides clear direction on production workflows across all departments, proactively recognizing operational deviations from accepted practices to enforce corporate guidelines and confirm appropriate next steps.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key production vendors to create cost and workflow efficiencies that benefit network productions.
- Contributes to Production Management departmental projects as assigned.
Experience & Skills Required
- A minimum of 12 years of Production Management experience in a variety of programming types, including studio-based, location, celebrity, documentary, editorial, commercial/branded, product integrations, live stream, tent poles, and third-party productions.
- A minimum of 3 years of direct people management and supervisory experience within a corporate environment.
- Proven ability to effectively lead a team and implement workflow and process while maintaining strong knowledge of production logistics and workflow, industry technology, and current industry standard practices.
- In-depth experience managing hands-on physical logistics, including sales BIB estimates, budgeting, cost reporting, financial reconciliation, crewing, scouting, scheduling, releases, purchase orders, call sheets, equipment procurement, and international travel coordination, international visas, and carnets.
- Practical understanding of contract obligations and compliance, managing negotiations with crews and vendors, handling local permitting, coordinating insurance risk assessments, safety, and labor laws.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Detailed, concise, and effective communication and record-keeping.
- Must be tech-savvy and able to adapt quickly to learn and implement new technology, software, and systems for internal company use.
- Demonstrated success in fostering team transparency and providing an open reporting channel to executive leadership.
Pay
The expected base salary range for this position is from $115,000-$130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
