About the role

Perfetti Van Melle, a leading manufacturer and distributor of confectionery and chewing gum, seeks an enthusiastic Supervisor to join their growing team in Rockford, IL. This position oversees production activities within a value stream to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to production schedules and cost specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities and evaluate efficiency data.
• Evaluate personnel performance and develop training programs.
• Enforce company policies and resolve personnel issues.
• Facilitate continuous improvement projects and maintain a safe work environment.
• Report production issues and escalate problems as needed.
• Maintain employee schedules and payroll records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Business Management or relevant experience.
• 4-6 years of manufacturing supervisor experience.
• Thorough knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts.
• Spanish or bilingual fluency is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Good communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
• Technical ability to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment.

Pay

The anticipated target range for this role is $77,000-102,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
