About the role

In the role of Line Leader-Batch and Furnace working in Wheat Ridge, CO, you will be part of the Rocky Mountain Bottle Company’s Operations. You will lead safety culture initiatives through support and participation, continually ensuring safe practices and policies are followed by team members. You will demonstrate commitment to safety through participation in and support of safety initiatives, ensuring operations are always conducted in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. You will identify and highlight unsafe work practices and correct them with urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of talented colleagues and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one-on-one conversations.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance of the batch house and furnace to drive safe, efficient operation to produce quality glass for beer bottle production.
  • Build a winning team by role modeling Critical Success Factors, WCSC work principles and practices, and leading and ensuring full leverage of all people management processes.
  • Review contributions and special efforts to identify examples of “What Good Looks Like” and recognize that effort, either with individuals or a team.
  • Build and develop team and team capability. Ensure the team has the skills and capability to manage day-to-day activities and make sound business decisions. Ensure the team has necessary information to make sound business decisions.
  • Follow all performance, talent, and career management processes.
  • Drive performance management practices through one-on-ones for the team and technicians, using team performance discussions.
  • Build effective partnerships across the plant (Batch & Furnace / Conditioning / Forming / Quality / Mold and Machine Repair and Maintenance) and supply chain network.
  • Mentor, support, and coach team members in the correct execution of their roles and the right behaviors.
  • Support and participate in structured communications throughout the department and provide feedback to teams to enhance effectiveness.
  • Manage the team through change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role in manufacturing operations.
  • 5-7 years of Glass Furnace experience preferred.
  • Combustion experience a plus.
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience.
  • Ability to complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with an understanding of business priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.
  • Thirst for learning and helping others grow.

Pay

Posting salary range: $95,700.00 - $125,700.00 plus a 15% target short-term incentive. On average, $23,000 is spent on benefits per employee, including health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness incentives, and EAP.
