About the role

We are seeking a Line Lead to join our dynamic team at 80 Acres Farms. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the team's success by driving standards in Safety, Quality, Accuracy, and Production.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the interview process and tours
  • Collaborate with the Farm Supervisor to manage Team Member monthly training
  • Ensure the team operates packaging machinery safely and efficiently
  • Manage yield expectations and daily task progress to meet targets
  • Perform setup and start-up checks
  • Conduct quality checks on all equipment
  • Complete pre-operation checklist, daily checks and measurements
  • Ensure team PPE is worn correctly and verify status of work orders with maintenance
  • Perform department checks to ensure tasks are completed on time and correctly
  • Handle end-of-day tasks such as cleaning, PPE supplies restocking, aged prop trays disposal, tools returned to storage areas, and documentation
  • Manage repetitive motions and standing/walking for extended periods
  • Handle exposure to heights when working in the grow area
  • Lift up to 50 lbs

Requirements

  • 1+ year packing experience in a food production environment
  • Knowledge of GMPs
  • Ability to identify and report updates and possible deficiencies that could compromise food safety
  • Organizational skills and consistency, ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
  • Detail and quality oriented
  • Ability to delegate tasks to team members

Qualifications

  • Passion for sustainability and food industry
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with vertical farming technologies
