Line Lead
About the Role
Production Lead – Pembroke, NC. This position oversees and produces safe, quality food following production standards on specific assignments within required time. The role requires understanding of Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.
Responsibilities
- Leads and provides direction to up to 40 people at one time.
- Gives clear, urgent direction to the production line.
- Operates all equipment within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Reads product formulas, temperatures, and times from building sheets and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Reports and tracks waste, actively identifying ways to reduce waste in line with company goals.
- Follows supervisor instructions and effectively communicates them to the line.
- Understands the significance of downtime on the production floor.
- Improves and creates efficiency on the line while keeping safety a top priority.
- Understands mechanized equipment and associated hazards.
- Multitasks and maintains attention to detail.
- Maintains production records in a timely manner.
- Fills production reports and logs daily.
- Inspects and gives final sign‑off on all production labels when necessary.
- Applies First In/First Out (FIFO) rotation.
- Informs Production Supervisors of break and lunch schedules.
- Meets production standards on specific assignments within required time.
- Demonstrates appropriate work ethics, providing a positive influence on the production floor.
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in the assigned space.
- Performs assignments in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures.
- Ensures all work is performed according to specifications, instructions, and requirements.
- Follows production dress‑code standards and maintains good personal hygiene.
- Ensures food safety and food quality throughout production.
- Notifies a supervisor or manager when stepping off the line to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Understands and applies SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices to ensure safe, quality products.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor or manager.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.

- Ability to read and write in English or Spanish.
- Understanding of basic mathematical concepts.

Pay
$16.50 per hour.
Schedule
Flexible schedule with the expectation of overtime and weekend work as needed.
