Line Lead -1st Shift (Monday - Thursday 5am- 3:30pm)

About the role

Leads and motivates team quality performance, cost parameters, accuracy and speed within a manufacturing production line environment. Arranges daily team activities to ensure smooth workflow, quality production and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Gives direction and improvement recommendations for manufacturing processes.
• Ensures compliance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
• Assists with inventory, packaging, shipping/receiving and general facility maintenance as needed.
• Projects staffing for daily and future production needs.
• Monitors machinery, processes and work layouts to recommend improvements.
• May conduct safety and training programs for the production line.
• Mentors line staff and facilitates problem solving.
• Maintains and coaches standard work practices across all processes.

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or Equivalent.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience and people leadership required.

Skills

• Strong leadership capability and experience.
• Strong manufacturing knowledge (5S, Lean Manufacturing, technical drawing understanding).
• General computer skills (Email, Excel).

Work environment

• Production/Manufacturing environment.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.
• Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
