Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of an assigned production line, ensuring finished goods are produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ensure products are accurately packaged, labeled, and documented while maintaining high quality standards.
- Monitor production performance, keeping team members on task and rotating assignments as needed to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of production equipment and confidently perform machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting, including:
- Tote changes
- Film changes
- Tube loading
- Cycle speed adjustments
- Starting and stopping production equipment
- Operate and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment, including conveyors, labeling machines, rotary tables, and mechanical tape machines.
- Follow and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety requirements.
- Coincide and assign the timely delivery of materials to production lines to minimize downtime and keep operations running efficiently.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process and promptly address issues that could impact quality, safety, or productivity.
- Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, and material needs with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Assist with training and mentoring new production employees, promoting safe work practices and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced machine operation skills.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment is preferred.
- Proven mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of the position.
