About the role

Tin Lizzie Lounge is a prohibition-style neighborhood speakeasy located in the historic MarQueen Hotel in the heart of lower Queen Anne. We offer a fully stocked bar of local libations and a mixology program featuring classic and custom cocktails. As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing new menu items, assisting with daily preparation requirements, guiding other cooks, conducting inventories, ensuring food safety, and accommodating customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Create menu magic and make hungry people happy
• Showcase your skills by preparing new menu items and daily preparation requirements
• Provide guidance to line cooks
• Conduct inventories
• Ensure sanitary and well-maintained food preparation areas
• Ensure safe food handling
• Open and close kitchen procedures with the ability to accommodate customer needs in a timely manner
• Be comfortable with being guest-facing and running food orders to tables in our intimate service area

Requirements

• 2+ years industry experience
• Able to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures
• Able to cook and assist with event buyout up to 50 with a help of a small team
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s)
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos
• Working knowledge of all mother and minor sauces
• Working knowledge of proper cutting techniques
• Knowledge of specialized equipment: Mastering of slicer, Hobart, convection ovens
• Possess knife skills, the ability to adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customer’s needs in a timely manner
