Line Cook - Seaport Grille

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods as directed by menu.
• Operate standard cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, toasters, fryers, oven, stove, and grill.
• Participate in kitchen cleaning and sanitation including all equipment.
• Assists in preparing entrees and special menus.
• Secures food supplies from stockroom and refrigerators.
• Occasionally fill in for other stations as needed.
• Assist in any kitchen duties such as placing and receiving orders, rotating sticks, and taking inventory.
• Follows recipes based on company standards, able to follow instructions.
• Safe handling of all food including washing, cutting, and preparing portions.
• Maintains sanitation, and cleanliness at all times.
• Works on preparing orders simultaneously.
• Restocks workstation and maintain personal and workstation cleanliness at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of recent Line Cook experience in a high volume, full service restaurant (preferred).
• Must be able to stand long periods of time without sitting and endure climate changes.
• Must be able to bend and reach on a continuous basis.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use all hand tools, equipment and machines needed for work.
• Must be able to measure and cut with great precision.
• Ensure all products are prepared to company specification.
• Continuously demonstrate a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
