About the role
Responsible for precisely and consistently preparing food orders by following recipes and instructions. Prepares foods, performs prep work, cooks and plates food, sanitizes kitchen to Resort standards, keeps workstation neat and sanitized, and dishwashes.
Responsibilities
- Safely prepares foods using knives, ovens, grills, warming trays and other cooking instruments in accordance with culinary standards and safe operation.
- Uses basic knife skills, prepares soups and sauces, knows how to properly weigh and measure product, has knowledge of proper seasoning and prepares food on a flat top with sauté pan, over open flame and with a broiler.
Requirements
6 months of Cook or Culinary experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club required. No formal education or training/certification required. Must have or be able to attain a valid foodhandlers card for West Virginia. Must be able to communicate verbally in basic English. Will Train.

Skills

Pay
$18.00 to $22.00 per hour based on merit and experience.
Wage Increase: Returning employees in the same position are eligible for merit based on their last seasons performance review scores; increase can be as low as 0% and up to 6% of their base wage.
Overtime may be available at $27.00 to $33.00 per hour.
Schedule
Hours Per Week: 35
Frequency of Pay: Bi-weekly
Days and Shifts: Following Shifts available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Flexible schedule with hours between 6:00AM and 2:00AM. Required to be able to work weekends, holidays, morning, day and evening shifts.
Optional Employee Housing
Available with rent between $300 - $600/month based on accommodations to be paid online; housing deposit of $250 to be paid online also. Employees in housing will be charged a one-time nonrefundable $25 to provide the linen: sheets, blanket, comforter, Pillow, towels, and washcloth. This is to be left in the room upon departure. This charge is due at the same time as the Security Deposit and 1st months' rent.
Transportation
Daily transportation to the worksite is provided through on-mountain shuttle service.

Visa Fees
The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker).
