About the Role

As a Line Cook II, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our esteemed members and guests. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Execute cooking tasks with precision and consistency to meet the highest standards of taste and presentation.
  • Prepare a variety of menu items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to established recipes and specifications.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed throughout the food preparation process.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and coordinate food production for various dining areas and special events.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Assist in inventory management, including monitoring and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to portion control and waste reduction measures to control food costs.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently.
  • Support the development of seasonal menus and contribute creative ideas to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or equivalent culinary role in a high-end restaurant or country club setting.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering top-quality cuisine.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
