About the role
A Cook at Not Your Average Joe’s is responsible for creating an unforgettable guest experience through the proper preparation of recipes. They must maintain top-notch cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times and work as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Understand and execute the Guest-Obsessed culture to create positive and memorable guest experiences.
- Prepare raw ingredients according to strict recipes.
- Follow portioning techniques and read tickets to determine what and when items need to be prepared.
- Clean station floors, counters, tools, cutting boards, and preparation surfaces to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow direction from others.
- Ability to read recipes and replicate food production procedures.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Skill and coordination with kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Follow company policy in handling guest allergies/intolerances, ensuring safe meals.
- Be a team player, arriving on time, well-groomed, and in proper attire, ready to work.
