About the role

A Cook at Not Your Average Joe’s is responsible for creating an unforgettable guest experience through the proper preparation of recipes. They must also maintain top-notch cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute the Guest-Obsessed culture to create positive and memorable guest experiences.
• Prepare raw ingredients according to strict recipes.
• Follow proper portioning techniques.
• Read and interpret cooking tickets to determine what and when items need to be prepared.
• Clean station floors, counters, tools, cutting boards, and preparation surfaces to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow direction from others.
• Ability to read recipes and replicate food production procedures.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Skill and coordination with kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Follow company policy in handling guest allergies/intolerances, ensuring safe meals for guests.
• Team Player - Must arrive on time, well-groomed, and in proper attire, ready to work.
