About the role
The role involves working as a Line Cook and Dishwasher at Chook on Pearl. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing the menu to Chook's standards of service, overseeing the cooking and preparation process, and ensuring all guests receive their food on time. The Dishwasher ensures the cleanliness of all pots, pans, dishes, and glassware.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the menu to Chook's standards of service
- Oversee the cooking and preparation process from start to finish
- Ensure all guests receive their food on time
- Train on multiple stations including Hot Apps, Salads, and Rotisserie
- Maintain a clean workstation and restaurant while on shift
- Perform pre-shift, side work, and end of shift duties
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Fills in any role that may be needed during a shift
- Ask questions and seek help appropriately
- Follow all safety procedures and health code standards
- Arrive on time in a clean uniform with good personal hygiene
Requirements
- Full-Time (30 to 40 hours/week) or Part-Time (15 to 29 hours/week)
- Hourly minimum of $20/hour (combination of base hourly pay $18.81/hr and tip pool percentage)
- Flexible schedule with potential changes often
- Able to work mornings, days, weekends, and evenings
- Must communicate school, other work, and special schedule requests
