We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Compensation: $21 per hour Ideal candidates are highly dependable, team-oriented, and able to take direction with at least 1-2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced environment. The Line Cook will assist the Chef and Kitchen Manager in preparing food for all culinary outlets on the property, including but not limited to kitchen sanitation, cleanliness, preparation, and delivery. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. Responsibilities Prepares food according to supervisor’s specifications and recipesMaintains quality standards of food and beverage service by preparing and presenting menu items according to company standards and supervisor’s directionEnsures clean and orderly workspace by adhering to public health codes, sanitation and safety policiesVerifies product stock and rotate as necessary, informing supervisor of item or equipment that needs to be ordered; may be responsible for ordering at supervisor’s discretionCompletes approved opening duties at the beginning of each dayCompletes approved closing duties at the end of each day by organizing, cleaning and sanitizing workspaceMaintains effective communication skills by interacting professionally with co-workersMay be required to assist in training other cooksImplements and supports all initiatives and programs as requested by managementOther duties may be assigned by management. Education And Experience Requirements High school diploma required, 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to operate the following equipment is required: convection and conventional oven, fryer, broiler, salamander, slice, mixer, food processor, dish washer and all small wares and utensilsTo perform this job successfully, the individual should possess math skills required to complete food preparation and ordering job functionsThe ability to read food orders in EnglishSpecialty/Technical training preferredThe ability to follow verbal and written instructions Working Conditions Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scoopingThe employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and handsThe employee occasionally will be required to lift up to 30lbs.
