Line Clearance Equipment Operator

About the role

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Equipment / Jarraff / SkyTrim Operator to our passionate team of utility line clearance professionals servicing the Guernsey and Tuscarawas County, Ohio regions, including Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position with travel expectations up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Operate Jarraff / SkyTrim mobile equipment on utility right-of-way
• Ensure equipment and crew safety when removing trees on utility right-of-way
• Assist in all job functions as a member of the crew

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Minimum of two (2) years mobile equipment operating experience and training providing necessary operations skills, knowledge, and abilities
• Capable of successfully passing a mobile equipment operations certification test
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement (preferred)
• Line clearance experience or other related tree work (preferred)
• Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law (preferred)
• ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (preferred)

Pay

Hourly pay rate $22.00 – 28.00 based on line clearance / industry experience and CDL status. Generous performance incentive plan.
