Equipment Operator

About the Erosion Control Division

Erosion Control is a Division of Absolute Group that specializes in commercial and state erosion and soil control services. We offer a wide range of construction solutions, including seeding, sodding, mulching, silt fence installation and storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) management.

Responsibilities

• Operate agricultural tractor and/or skid loader equipment for erosion control, seeding, and planting tasks.
• Perform physical labor work as needed, including lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Work in various weather conditions and available to work overtime.
• Travel and work some out-of-town overnight shifts.
• Complete required paperwork and computer work.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating agricultural tractor and/or skid loader equipment for erosion control, seeding, and planting.
• Valid Driver's License (Class A CDL preferred) and a clear driving record.
• Willingness and ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Available to work overtime.
• Willingness to travel and ability to work some out-of-town overnight shifts.
• Ability to do required paperwork and computer work.

Qualifications

• Good work ethic, capable of adapting to a variety of different labor assignments.
• Ability to work closely with other employees and supervisors.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisors and crew leads, and take instruction without conflicts.

Skills

• Farming, agriculture, or landscape background.
• Experience with Class A CDL license or willingness to obtain within first 90 days of employment.

Schedule

Variable schedule to meet project needs, may require some out-of-town overnight shifts.
