About the role
This position combines limited-purpose X-ray technology with medical-assisting duties. You will produce required patient images, communicate findings to clinicians, and support office operations, including coverage for other Medical Assistants. Our practice delivers high-quality clinical care across multiple locations to help patients maintain mobility and activity.
Responsibilities
- Capture accurate patient images using radiological equipment.
- Communicate imaging results clearly and promptly to clinicians.
- Assist physicians with procedures and patient care in exam rooms.
- Perform administrative tasks to support office operations.
- Cover shifts for other Medical Assistants as needed.
- Float to surrounding clinic locations when required.
Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1-year experience as an X-Ray Technician in a medical practice or similar setting.
- Current California AART certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Thorough understanding of current radiological standards.
- Hands-on experience assisting physicians with patient exams and care tasks.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, including task prioritization.
- Clear verbal and written communication, with professional and courteous interactions.
- Ability to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Openness to constructive coaching and guidance for career growth.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Flexibility to take on additional tasks as business needs arise.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to pass an in-depth background check, including a clean DMV report and pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume medical practice.
- Familiarity with Athena or similar practice-management software.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Physical strength and agility to position patients for diagnostic examinations.
Pay
$30–$32 per hour, based on relevant experience.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
