Limited X-Ray Tech/MA

About the role

You will be a fully proficient Limited Purpose Xray Technician and Medical Assistant responsible for properly taking required patient images using technological equipment. Responsibilities include clear and timely communication with clinicians on a regular basis and helping with other office administrative tasks and coverage for Medical Assistants. Our practice helps patients stay active and mobile by providing the best clinical care available across our network of locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient imaging using radiological equipment.
• Communicate clearly and regularly with clinicians.
• Assist with office administrative tasks and coverage for Medical Assistants.
• Assist Physicians with procedures and tasks in patient exam rooms.
• Perform a wide range of tasks related to patient care.
• Manage time effectively and prioritize daily tasks.
• Ensure accurate, timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Accept coaching and guidance constructively for continual improvement.
• Float to surrounding locations as needed.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related area preferred.
• At least 1-year experience working as an X-Ray Technician in a medical practice or similar environment.
• Current California AART certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Knowledge and full understanding of current radiological standards.
• Hands-on experience assisting Physicians with procedures and patient care tasks.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
• Professional and courteous interactions with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to pass an in-depth background investigation, including a clean DMV report and pre-employment drug screen.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy medical practice environment.
• Experience using Athena or similar systems.
• Combination of academic education, professional training, and applied work experience demonstrating ability to perform essential functions.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, and bending.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Physical strength and agility to position patients for diagnostic examinations.

Pay

$30–$32 per hour, depending on relevant work experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday–Friday.
