Limited Term Adjunct Instructor (Russian) (Multiple Positions)
The University of Arizona Language Training Center (LTC) is currently hiring Instructors for short-term intensive Russian language courses. This position is funded by the Defense Language and National Security Education Office. The LTC offers language instruction certification and advanced training in multiple strategic languages.
About the role
Responsible for delivering high-quality Russian language instruction to students enrolled in intensive courses. Will be expected to develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback. Will also assist in administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Russian language instruction to students enrolled in intensive courses.
- Develop lesson plans based on course objectives and student needs.
- Absorb and implement new teaching methodologies and materials as they become available.
- Auditorily assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and class participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as grading, record keeping, and scheduling classes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Russian language, linguistics, or related field.
- At least 2 years of professional teaching experience in Russian language.
- Native or near-native fluency in Russian and English.
- Experience with adult education and/or language immersion programs.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Passion for teaching and learning Russian language.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and environments.
Skills

Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
