Limited Radiological Technician/ Medical Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN. A medical assistant assists in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting. A limited Radiological Technician performs Radiologic examination on patients of all ages and provides Radiologist with finished exams for interpretation.
About the Role
Urgent care experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping. Ability to perform diagnostic radiology exams.
Requirements
- Education: See License and Certification
- Experience: Urgent care experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certifications from the ARRT, CRT for a limited practice technician permit. Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA).
- Equipment: EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet, computer, copy machine, fax Machine, and scanner. RIS, HIS, PACS, and stationary radiographic equipment.
Qualifications
