About the role

The Limited License Radiology Tech at NorthBay Health performs x-ray procedures within the scope of their certification. They are responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services to patients of all ages, ensuring patient safety and well-being during examinations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic examinations to the required level of ability.
  • Performs radiographic examinations in accordance to established protocols.
  • Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
  • Evaluates each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
  • Ensures patient safety and well-being during examinations.
  • Inspects and cleans equipment prior to use.
  • Reports to radiology leadership and/or urgent care leadership regarding equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
  • Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies, and drug reactions according to policies.
  • Processes images, burns CD's, prints films, organizes paperwork, and completes requisition forms.
  • Works in various departments, including front desk duties (scheduling, registration, working phones), rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting with other tasks as needed.
  • Sets up and operates imaging equipment.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course.
  • California Limited License required.
  • Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required.
  • Basic clerical and computer experience.
  • One or more years of experience in general radiology preferred.

Qualifications

Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Must be able to operate imaging equipment and perform related tasks independently.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.

Pay

Primary Hourly Pay Range: $32.64 - $39.67 (Hourly rate will be based on years of experience)

Schedule

Days, 10 hours. Expected to work every other weekend. May be scheduled at any of the Urgent Care locations with radiology equipment.
