Limited Energy Systems Installer

About the role

Install, test, and repair electronic systems including fire alarm, video surveillance, access control, and structured cabling systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe job site, maintaining compliance with company safety standards
• Work in a team environment, seeking to understand best practices for quality installations
• Install pathway, raceway, and cabling in new or existing buildings
• Install low-voltage system devices (e.g., fire alarm, cameras, readers)
• Terminate and test low-voltage cabling
• Communicate progress of work, delivery, and implementation
• Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge
• Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training needs
• Accurately complete required paperwork
• Travel to various jobsite locations; overnight stays may be required (per diem paid to cover expenses)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license; must be 18 years old
• Submit to pre-employment background and drug testing
• Previous experience with construction or mechanical work (e.g., automotive repair, residential construction, or general assembly) is preferred
• Union participation is required (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 388)

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
• Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) is preferred
• Demonstrated interest in electronic or electrical systems

Schedule

June through September, Monday to Friday. Options for 5 days/8 hours per day or 4 days/10 hours per day. Start times vary, but typical start is 6:00 AM. Full-time with long-term potential.

Pay

$20.00 to $22.00 per hour plus travel and per diem.
