About the role
Light Rail Train (LRT) Operators run NJT’s River Line, providing safe, reliable, timely, and courteous service to customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate NJT’s light rail trains safely and efficiently
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide courteous service
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and adhere to NJ TRANSIT’s safety standards
Requirements
- Twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language
- Hold a New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsements
- Have a safe driving record with less than five (5) accumulated points
- Available to participate in a structured training program Monday through Friday from 8:00 am—4:30 pm (perfect attendance is required)
