Light Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
- Team member must be able to work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment.
- Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures.
- May require moderate supervision and follow-up.
- Maintain adherence to work schedule and work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
- Absorb and assist in some maintenance, railroad, and groundwork such as (mowing, trimming, landscaping, and snow removal).
- Maintain adherence to the published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required by demands of the job.
- Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment when required by the job.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.
- Maintain adherence to company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
- Accurately and timely complete administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
- Ensure compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
- Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives.
- Meet physical requirements of the job.
- Operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
- Wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Requirements
- 0-2 years in industrial cleaning desirable.
Qualifications

- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Control Precision — The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
- Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
- Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
- Communication/ Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
Skills
- Working knowledge and be trained to operate the following: skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools.
- Clean screens and wear a respirator.
