Light Helicopter Base/Field Mechanic

About the role

PJ Helicopters is seeking A&P Base/Field Mechanics for performance of base maintenance duties. Our mechanics perform a variety of general helicopter maintenance including, but not limited to, detailed aircraft inspections, minor and major repairs and alterations, preventative maintenance and servicing. They also perform all the base maintenance duties while in the field as well as drive the fuel and support trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed aircraft inspections
• Conduct minor and major repairs and alterations
• Execute preventative maintenance and servicing
• Perform base maintenance duties while in the field
• Drive fuel and support trucks

Requirements

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses
• Knowledge of FARs – 91, 133, 135, and 145
• Experience and training in the AS-350, Bell 407, 429 or MD 530F models preferred
• Commercial Driver’s License with HAZMAT/Tank Endorsements required
• Ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, scheduled days off, and on-call during busy periods
• Some travel required

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug-screening required, as well as ongoing randomized testing
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting while maintaining good working relationships with staff, peers, and management
