Helicopter Mechanic

About the role

Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, and documents airframe and engine to ensure airworthiness and conformance with FAA regulations. Performs all inspections, repairs, and component changes in accordance with manufacturers' maintenance manuals and/or FAA-approved procedures. Maintains all necessary work records, maintenance forms, and log books. Responsible for maintaining the aviation fuel farm, accepting fuel per policy, and ensuring fuel quality. Assists in cleaning aircraft and hangar.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, and component changes ensuring compliance with manufacturers' maintenance manuals and FAA-approved procedures.
• Maintain work records, maintenance forms, and log books.
• Manage the aviation fuel farm, including fuel acceptance and quality assurance per policy.
• Assist in cleaning aircraft and hangar.
• Notify Angel One Communications Center and supervisor in the event of unscheduled maintenance.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with the Director of Maintenance.
• Collaborate with manufacturer’s representatives, parts vendors, repair facilities, and the FAA.
• Prioritize safety for all aviation operations.
• Assist the Director of Maintenance in ordering and maintaining aircraft parts inventory and vendor tooling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
• Six years of transport experience.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (required).
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) (recommended).
