Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking a Light Duty Technician in Palm Springs, CA.
Pay
- Competitive hourly pay, paid weekly every Friday
- Pay range $32.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm

Qualifications
- ASE Certifications required (will allow time to obtain)
- DOT Med Card; any CDL advantageous
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
- Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Automotive/Light Duty Repair Mechanics should have a minimum of two years hands-on experience or a combination of trade school and hands-on experience
- Must have the ability to perform preventive maintenance, diagnoses and repairs on autos and light trucks
- Complete set of hand tools and wheeled tool box suitable for daily use
- Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
- Automotive/Light Duty Repair Mechanics with OEM training and/or ASE certifications are highly preferred
Working conditions
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
