About the role

Mohawk Industries is seeking a skilled operator to manage propane-powered sit-down forklifts. This role involves transporting and moving materials safely and efficiently across various areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operates propane sit-down forklifts to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Loads, unloads, transports, and stacks material.
• Moves pallets, skids, boxes, and paper roll stock, securing material or products for transport.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight and other production data as required.
• Operates and follows instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit.
• Records quality and output measures and completes any other necessary paperwork.
• Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follows all established standard operating procedures.
• Operates Powered Industrial Lifts safely.
• Performs general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Performs other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior forklift experience required.
• Prior experience in a production or manufacturing work environment preferred.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate Warehouse Management Systems via stationary and onboard computers.
• Demonstrated skills relating to time management and attention to detail.
• Following all established standard operating procedures in place.
• Operate Powered Industrial Lifts safely.

Skills

• Operate propane-powered sit-down forklifts.
• Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, conveyors, or lifting devices.
• Record weight and other production data accurately.
• Use an onboard RF unit to operate machinery.
• Complete daily Forklift Inspection Checklist.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position typically works a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays, with potential for 12-hour shifts.
