As a Lift Operations Supervisor at Boyne Mountain, you ensure the team is alert, prepared, and ready to deliver a seamless experience for every guest. From the first chair of the morning to the last rider of the day, you support your team, maintain smooth operations, and uphold the Boyne Mountain standard of guest experience. Responsibilities
- Long-Term Thinking: Assist with scheduling and daily administrative tasks to maintain efficient, well-staffed operations, prepared for any mountain or weather conditions.
- Excellence in Execution: Conduct regular lift inspections and scanning operations, ensure accurate daily documentation, and uphold brand standards to exceed guest expectations.
- Attitude is Everything: Approach each shift with composure, adaptability, and positive energy, even in Michigan’s demanding winter conditions, to keep your team grounded and guests confident.
- Develop Great People: Provide timely, thoughtful guidance to lift operations team members to support safety, guest service, and professional growth.
- Serve First: Monitor and support daily lift operations, respond quickly to high-volume periods or emergencies across the mountain, and ensure guests and team members are supported.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Mountain Experience leadership team.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, outdoor recreation, or a related field (ski industry mountain operations experience is a plus).
- Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level or higher.
- Friendly, personable, and empathetic leadership style, prioritizing both team members and guests.
- Knowledge of Boyne Mountain Resort and its offerings (preferred).
- Passion for winter sports and the outdoors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks quickly while adapting to changing conditions.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
