About the role

Assists guests in getting on and off of chair lifts. Must be energetic, outgoing, and able to interact with guests in a friendly and fun manner. As a customer-focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the shoveling and raking of snow and ice on a regular basis to maintain proper ramps, corrals, and work areas.
  • Assists with the inspection of the lift prior to operations start-up, including emptying trash containers, checking marker information boards, tissue dispensers, and assisting in the daily inspection of switches, chairs, and grips.
  • Maintains ramps and corrals.
  • Becomes familiar with the area (lifts and trails) and the functions of other departments.
  • Advises and assists guests as needed in a courteous manner.
  • Becomes familiar with resort's policies, safety policies, and guest service expectations.
  • Communicates problems to superiors while showing initiative in handling routine matters and emergencies.
  • Remains vigilant to the needs of both the equipment and the guests, reacting in the safest manner while maintaining quality service.
  • Contributes to team effort by participating in job sharing, maintaining cleanliness of the resort, ensuring safety of guests and employees, attending safety meetings, accepting diverse assignments, and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Meets service level objectives and department goals as set forth by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
