Lifestyle Director
Purpose
The Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle Director (Ambassador of Fun) creates and drives consistent and innovative Latitude Lifestyle programs for residents of Latitude Margaritaville. They lead lifestyle programming on their home property, developing and implementing activities and programming that appeal to the 55+ community.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Possess strong communication skills and ability to give presentations, lead meetings/group activities, and actively participate in resident events.
- Keep current with industry concepts, practices, procedures and fully align with the Latitude Margaritaville brand.
- Demonstrate ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate courses of action.
- Exercise a positive attitude and remain professional under all circumstances.
- Develop locally driven ideas and initiatives while ensuring alignment with brand strategies and the defined Latitude Lifestyle.
Association Structure and Financial Management
- Provide GM/AGM with a monthly event plan that includes expenses 2-3 months in advance.
- Exercise fiduciary duties to ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Create and update resident participation reports, articulate successes and find opportunities for improved participation.
- Understand financial goals, operate assets in owners' best interest in accordance with the Board's policies.
- Actively participate in the creation of the property lifestyle annual budgets in a timely and accurate manner.
Daily Operations and Customer Experience
- General organization of all resident activities, including on and off premises activities like dances, theme parties, holiday celebrations, movies, card games, exercise programs, etc.
- Determine activities residents would be most interested in pursuing and/or participating in.
- Benchmark other existing/new clubs that reflect the interests of the community in creating new programming.
- Collaborate with catering (food and beverage) for functions, decorating, operations/technical requirements and all other aspects of event/activity execution.
- Cookordination with social clubs/groups and their activities/events.
- Ensure all communications for newsletters, event emails and activity calendars are submitted in a timely manner and in alignment with brand standards.
- Execute the sales of tickets for shows and events to standard.
- Post lifestyle events on the TVs utilizing Bright Signs software and keep the events current.
- Order and maintain needed supplies (e.g., art and craft supplies, party supplies, etc.).
- Create an "I Love My Job" environment that further enlivens the Margaritaville Latitude Lifestyle.
- Supervise/coordinate utilization of all athletic facilities with local management team.
- Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
- Comply with all ordinances and regulations per the locations jurisdictions.
- Ensure that correct coordination of all live and "piped in" music for the community is correctly coordinated and on brand.
- Recommend and review policies for association, community and league use of facilities.
Technical Competencies
- Education/Training: A post-secondary education is desired. A bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality/tourism would be preferred. A minimum of two to four (2-4) years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required.
- Experience/Knowledge/Abilities: Must have strong entertainment planning background. Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, mass email, database management, etc.). Able to work with vendors and crews organizing events in a timely manner. Strong administrative background. Excellent working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Outstanding interpersonal, office management and communication skills, as well as a self-starter and multi-tasker. Critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision making. Exercise all duties and tasks in a cheerful and friendly manner as well as be a team player together with office staff and residents to achieve all events successfully. Ability to work independently and be self-driven, with ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities. Knowledge of basic accounting skills.
Team Player but Can Work Independently
- Physical demands may include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing.
- May be required to work at a computer and speak on the phone for extended periods of time.
- Able to work extended/flexible hours and weekends and be on call as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation/Work Schedule
Full-Time (40 hours) Evening, holidays, & weekend availability required.
