About the role

Play a key role in executing our company’s purpose statement: We build community by bringing people together in the neighborhoods where they live and in the offices where we work. Simply put, we create experiences that connect people.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, promote and execute a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents.
  • Work cohesively with the Communications Associate in developing content for the community communications – website, newsletters, promotional materials, social media accounts, etc.
  • Produce, maintain, and follow an annual budget for activity income and expenses.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with local organizations and businesses to benefit residents and the overall community.
  • Oversee the operation of the amenity center including rentals.
  • Develop and implement general policies and procedures.
  • Create, coordinate and support for community clubs, groups, and committees.
  • Able to create a strong, professional, and symbiotic relationship with the Board of Directors.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and engagement.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must be able to work onsite at the community and work full-time hours Monday - Friday, with ability to work additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events.
  • Candidates should have 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience and 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications.
  • A Bachelors Degree or higher, ideally in recreation, communications, journalism or community development from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record, and background check.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with a resident board and committee members, as well as volunteers.
  • Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Occasionally lift and carry supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions.

Schedule
