Lifestyle Coordinator

About the role
Supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:
- Checks email and other appropriate resources daily for updated activity schedule/resident information and designs special events signs, announcements, and weekly schedule of lifestyle activities and posts them on bulletin boards.
- Plans and prepares for activities of the day, holidays and special events, purchases/orders necessary supplies, sets up activity areas, and cleans up area following activity.
- Invites residents to scheduled activities, including bus trips out of the facility, and escorts interested residents, if necessary.
- Counsels residents in planning and participating in activities, including one-to-one activities for individual residents and spontaneous events in a manner that promotes culture change and a home-like atmosphere.
- Charts resident information as it pertains to activities using the approved documentation method.
- Communicates, as needed, with staff in other departments to coordinate their involvement in activities and trips.
- Arranges with outside vendors to entertain or conduct programs with residents.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with aging population preferred.
