Responsibilities
- Relay and receive information regarding the patient and patient condition.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, departmental policy and practice, safety policies and practice, hospital policies.
- Care for and manage neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients.
- Drive ambulance to and from referral hospital.
- Transport patients.
- Obtain consents and authorizations from patient or legal guardians.
- Record time of ambulance run.
- Process billing and daily reports.
- Treat patients aboard an aircraft.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Indiana Paramedic license.
- Certified Flight Paramedic advanced certification within 18 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or its equivalency(s) within initial probationary period.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or its equivalency(s) within initial probationary period.
- Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire, including ITLS or PHTLS.
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) or its equivalency within initial probationary period.
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 within initial probationary period.
- Valid Driver's License in the State of Indiana with no more than 6 accrued points.
- 3 years ALS Paramedic experience.

Ability to make independent, clinical and operational competent decisions in a challenging environment.
