About the role
Critical Care Transport Paramedics play a crucial role in the transport of critically ill or injured patients. They navigate ambulances, assess patients, administer emergency medical care, and communicate with medical personnel at the destination hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical treatment to critically ill or injured patients throughout the interfacility or scene transport process.
- Navigate an ambulance to respond to emergency calls and maintain equipment on assigned mode of transportation.
- Assess the nature and extent of the illness or injury, administer appropriate emergency medical care, communicate with medical personnel at the hospital, report/record observations and follow directives until report and hand-off at hospital.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic training program
- Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire
- International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and FP-C (Flight Paramedic-Certified) within 2 years of hire
- Current Valid Stat Driver’s License (VDL)
- Passport within one year of hire
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an EMT-P required in a critical care setting as a flight or surface transport paramedic or in-hospital experience
Qualifications

Skills
- Ability to work in limited quarters, ground and air transport modes and in all types of terrain and weather conditions
- Frequent bending, twisting, climbing steps or ladders, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Medium Work – exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Pay
Minimum hourly: $22.85
Maximum hourly: $34.85
