Lifeguard/Certified Pool Operator

The Beach Pool & Tennis Club is a professional, dynamic sports club located in Potomac, MD, dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and energetic environment for our members.

About the role

As a lifeguard or certified pool operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool guests while contributing to a positive club atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety rules to maintain a secure swimming environment
• Vigilantly scan the pool area and surrounding spaces
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid
• Communicate effectively with members to create a friendly, welcoming experience
• Work collaboratively with team members to keep operations organized and efficient
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining locker room areas

Requirements

• Valid lifeguard/pool operator certification (Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent)
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous lifeguard experience is a plus

Pay

$17.45 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule

Memorial Day through Labor Day (May 24th – September 1st)
