What You'll Do
- Welcome guests and members with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a luxury resort experience.
- Distribute fresh towels and assist guests with seating and pool amenities.
- Set up and arrange lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables, cabanas, and other pool furniture before opening.
- Break down and properly store pool furniture and equipment at the end of each day.
- Keep the pool deck, surrounding areas, and recreational spaces clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the day.
- Enforce all pool safety rules and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Inspect pool furniture and equipment, reporting or replacing damaged items as needed.
- Assist with poolside activities, games, and special events.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, process payments, and complete rental and waiver documentation.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and anticipate guest needs.
- Follow all resort policies, safety procedures, and Recreation Department standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED preferred.
- A current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including CPR and First Aid, required.
- Previous lifeguard, pool attendant, recreation, hospitality, customer service, or resort experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot weather and varying conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors for the duration of scheduled shifts.
- Must possess excellent vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills necessary to monitor guest safety.
- Ability to operate pool equipment, point-of-sale systems, and recreational equipment, including bicycles.
