Job Details
The starting pay range for this role is $15.18 - $16.53, based on experience. This job is a part-time, in person position. This position will work weekdays, varied shifts, between the hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm.

What You Bring
- Current Lifeguard certification
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- More than one year of lifeguarding experience (preferred)
What a Lifeguard Does
- Monitor swimmers and pool area to ensure a safe environment
- Enforce and observe all pool rules, regulations, and safety policies
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, providing lifesaving interventions when required
- Conduct routine safety checks, including chemical testing of the pool
- Support physical therapy staff with client needs in the pool area
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, evaluation rooms, linens, baskets, and equipment
- Maintain pool cleanliness (vacuuming, deck cleaning, skimmer baskets, waxing stainless)
- Keep therapy equipment clean, organized, and in safe working condition
- Provide orientation and education to clients on pool safety and equipment use
- Greet swimmers, patients, and community members to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with scheduling and communication as directed by the Aquatic Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working Environment And Physical Requirements
- Specific vision and hearing requirements to maintain vigilant scanning of pool activity
- Moderate exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, cleaning chemicals, and potentially agitated individuals
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. occasionally, with frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and bending
- Limited exposure to workplace hazards, noise, and confined spaces
