Lifecycle Marketing Specialist
Role Summary
The Lifecycle & Retention Specialist will execute and optimize email, SMS, and subscription lifecycle programs that support customer retention and lifetime value growth. This role is highly hands-on. You will build campaigns and flows, manage segmentation, run experiments, and analyze performance. You will work closely with the Lifecycle Manager to implement the retention strategy and ensure lifecycle initiatives drive measurable impact. This is an execution-focused role with strong analytical exposure and growth potential.
What You Will Own
Build and manage automated flows, including:
- Welcome and onboarding
- Education and product discovery
- Replenishment and cross-sell
- Win-back and churn prevention
Execute campaign calendars aligned with product launches and retention priorities
Implement segmentation strategies based on customer behavior
Maintain strong list hygiene and deliverability standards
Run A/B tests across subject lines, creative, offers, cadence, and timing
Analyze flow and campaign performance
Identify optimization opportunities and implement improvements
Track engagement, conversion, and retention metrics
Execute subscription-related messaging such as:
- Save, pause, skip, downgrade, and win-back flows
- Replenishment timing updates
Monitor subscription attach rates and save rates
Flag churn risks and behavioral shifts early
Maintain weekly and monthly lifecycle dashboards
Assist with cohort analysis and performance tracking
Pull insights that support retention curve improvement
Surface anomalies or underperforming segments
Ideal Candidate Profile
2–4 years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, email, or retention marketing
Experience with SMS platforms such as Klaviyo
Familiarity with Shopify ecosystem
Strong comfort with data and spreadsheets
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Curious and eager to learn advanced retention strategy
Experience in DTC, CPG, beauty, or wellness is strongly preferred
