This position is hybrid and can be based in St. Louis, MO or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Own lifecycle strategy for assigned programs, determining program structure, audience definitions, cadence, and success criteria, including prospecting, nurture, pre-consultation, and client engagement journeys.
  • Partner with the broader Marketing Cloud team to shape the firm's overall lifecycle roadmap, journey design, and prioritization.
  • Translate strategy into Journey Builder automations, decision logic, and re-entry rules that reflect audience behavior and business goals.
  • Own A/B and multivariate testing roadmaps across subject lines, content, send time, and journey paths, and translate results into iterative improvements.
  • Build and deploy email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud using Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
  • Configure and QA landing pages, forms, and CloudPages that support prospecting, event, and client engagement programs.
  • Own end-to-end campaign setup, including audience segmentation, data extensions, SQL queries, dynamic content, and send configuration.

  • Execute recurring and one-off client, prospect, and advisor-facing communications, including newsletters, event invitations, and lifecycle touchpoints.
  • Build and deploy sends on behalf of Focus Partners and affiliated firms, ensuring consistent quality, branding, and compliance across audiences.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing, MarComms, Content, Client Development, and agency partners to translate briefs into production-ready campaigns on schedule.
  • Set QA and deployment standards across content accuracy, link validation, data mapping, deliverability, and compliance, and determine whether a campaign is approved for release.
  • Investigate and resolve deliverability incidents, data and audience errors, and journey failures, determining root cause and remediation approach.
  • Maintain campaign tracking hygiene, including UTMs, tracking parameters, and destination URLs, and coordinate audience handoff with the performance marketing team and agency partners.
  • Partner with the Marketing Cloud team and IT to align on data extensions, integrations, and platform governance.
  • Contribute to documentation, build standards, and process improvements within a shared Marketing Cloud environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years in email marketing, marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, or digital campaign execution.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement (formerly ExactTarget) is required, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder. Experience with HubSpot is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to lifecycle strategy and translating it into deployed campaigns and journeys.
  • Experience building and deploying campaigns in a shared platform environment with multiple contributors.
  • Experience supporting client-facing or regulated communications; financial services or wealth management experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with email deliverability principles, sender authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), subscription management, and CAN-SPAM/GDPR compliance.
  • Track record of using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Writer AI, Einstein) to accelerate campaign work.
