About the role
This role is designed for a senior lifecycle growth expert who can build scalable customer journey strategies across a portfolio of direct-to-consumer businesses. You will own the systems, experimentation, and revenue impact behind email, SMS, retention, and customer reactivation initiatives. The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can diagnose challenges, design solutions, and deliver measurable growth. You will work closely with growth leaders, operators, creative teams, engineers, and analytics specialists in a fast-moving environment. Accountabilities
The Lifecycle Growth Consultant will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of lifecycle growth initiatives, acting as a senior operator responsible for improving retention, customer engagement, and revenue performance across assigned businesses. Key responsibilities include:
- Audit existing lifecycle programs, customer journeys, CRM structures, and performance metrics to identify high-impact growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute lifecycle strategies connected directly to revenue growth, retention improvement, repeat purchases, and customer lifetime value.
- Design advanced email and SMS campaigns, automated journeys, segmentation strategies, and experimentation frameworks beyond standard marketing flows.
- Improve deliverability performance through domain warming, list hygiene, sender reputation management, compliance practices, and technical troubleshooting.
- Build customer segmentation models based on purchasing behavior, lifecycle stages, engagement patterns, product usage, and predicted customer value.
- Establish testing programs across messaging, offers, timing, frequency, creative approaches, and customer journeys to continuously improve performance.
- Leverage platforms such as Shopify, Klaviyo, and related tools to connect customer insights with lifecycle execution.
- Collaborate with growth, creative, engineering, analytics, and operational teams to launch improvements quickly and effectively.
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, personalization, documentation, quality assurance, and experimentation workflows.
- Translate performance data into actionable recommendations and create reusable playbooks, templates, and automation systems.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced lifecycle growth professional with a strong understanding of DTC businesses, customer retention strategies, and revenue-focused marketing operations. Required qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, retention, CRM, email marketing, or SMS marketing roles.
- Deep experience working with direct-to-consumer and e-commerce brands.
- Advanced hands-on expertise with Klaviyo, Shopify, and lifecycle marketing platforms.
- Proven success improving lifecycle revenue, repeat purchase rates, customer retention, or lifetime customer value.
- Strong technical knowledge of email deliverability, domain warming, sender reputation, consent management, and compliance requirements.
- Experience designing sophisticated customer segmentation strategies and automated lifecycle journeys.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect lifecycle performance metrics to business outcomes.
- Experience creating structured experimentation programs and using insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Excellent writing skills, creative judgment, and the ability to develop compelling customer-focused messaging.
- Ability to operate independently in a remote, high-accountability environment with a strong bias toward action.
- Comfortable using AI tools and modern growth technologies to improve productivity, decision-making, and execution quality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear updates, recommendations, and strategic guidance.
