Life Support Systems Technician

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing life support systems in various facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair life support systems including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical components.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly.
  • Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions using technical knowledge and tools.
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and facility management to address complex issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in maintenance or repair.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and refrigeration systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
