Qualifications
- High school or general education diploma
- State of Arkansas Low Voltage Alarm Technician License, preferred
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds or more
- Ability to climb all ladder sizes
- Ability to do routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying heavy items
- Three years experience in fire alarms, access control, surveillance, intercom, and network systems
Responsibilities
- Fulfills District policies and procedures
- Maintains District facilities and property
- Troubleshoots and repairs fire alarm, cameras, digital video recorders, access control, intercom, and network systems
- Performs preventative maintenance of listed systems
- Performs monthly backups to decrease downtime in case of equipment failure
- Performs firmware and software updates on equipment, as needed
- Installs new equipment (cameras, access doors, access software, intercoms, speakers, etc.)
- Uses District work order system and District forms
- Follows Material Safety Data Sheet directions on all chemical products used by the Conway Public Schools
- Willing to assist with other assignments given by the maintenance supervisor
- Communicates with other Conway Public School District personnel and students

Benefits
Terms Of Employment: The contract length will be 240 days.
Evaluation: Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the maintenance supervisor.
Job Goal
The Life Safety Systems Technician will endeavor to establish a knowledge of maintaining building systems and grounds to provide a safe learning environment for staff and students.
