About the Role

The Life Inspired Director develops, modifies, evaluates, and implements activity programs that embrace and fulfill the social needs and interests of the senior population living in and visiting the Community.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute a varied schedule of life enrichment opportunities for all levels of seniors, including those who are active and those with cognitive impairments from Alzheimer’s and related dementias
  • Supervise employees and train volunteers
  • Represent the Community in a positive and professional manner
  • Establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and staff
  • Maintain applicable state requirements for dementia-specific training
  • Practice and promote Meridian Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values, and Founding Principles
  • Ensure compliance with all health requirements and pass a background check

Requirements

  • Certification as required by State regulations for activities
  • High level of ability in effective and succinct communication, both written and oral, with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Ability to work responsibly as a team member and individually
  • Honest, fair, dependable, and respectful of confidentiality and privacy
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must meet all health requirements and pass a background check
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation
