Life Enrichment Specialist - Home Care Transitions
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat job title as heading. Do NOT put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. Remove boilerplate. Include sections only when posting has real specific content. Avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Pay and Schedule sections only if posting actually states them. The posting includes pay range and schedule. So we can have Pay and Schedule sections. Also Benefits? Not mentioned explicitly; there is no benefits description. So we should not create Benefits section. Skills? Could be implied but not explicit list; maybe we can include Skills if there is explicit list. The posting mentions required qualifications and preferred experience. We can have Requirements (or Qualifications) section. The instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide which sections to include based on content.
We have:
- About the role: there is introductory paragraph: "Help People Feel Seen, Heard, and Supported Are you someone who can walk into a new situation..." That's like overview. Could be About the role.
- Responsibilities: list of duties under "What You Will Do" and also "A Typical Day", "Your First 90 Days", "What Success Looks Like". We can combine into Responsibilities.
- Requirements/Qualifications: Required Qualifications and Preferred Experience. Could be Requirements (or Qualifications). We'll choose Requirements.
- Skills: maybe not explicit list; but we could extract skills from Required Qualifications: interpersonal, communication, organization, follow-through, ability to enter home respectfully, listen, document, comfort using email, MS Office, etc. Could be a Skills section. However instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Might combine skills into Requirements. But we have separate headings allowed; we can include Skills if we have explicit list. The posting does not have a separate "Skills" heading but we can infer. Safer to not create Skills unless we have explicit list. We'll omit Skills.
- Benefits: none explicit, omit.
- Pay: yes, we have pay range.
- Schedule: yes, typical schedule Monday-Friday 7am-3pm.
Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Pay, Schedule.
We need to use
for each section heading. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose.
We must preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. Must not omit any substantive info. That's a lot; we need to include all details from the posting, but we can format them as lists or paragraphs.
We need to be careful not to include boilerplate like EEO, equal opportunity, etc. At end there is "Golden Years ADHC is an equal opportunity employer...". Must remove.
Also remove navigation, cookie, legal, duplicated lines, application instructions. There's "Apply through Golden Years Careers." That's application instruction; remove.
We must keep all substantive info: role description, responsibilities, qualifications, preferred experience, pay, schedule, growth, why Golden Years (mission/vision) maybe considered substantive? It's about company culture; could be part of About the role or separate? The instruction says include section only when posting has real specific content. The "Why Golden Years" paragraph is substantive about mission/vision. Could be part of About the role or a separate section like "About the company". But we only have allowed headings list; we could put it under About the role as prose.
We must not repeat job title as heading. The job title is "Life Enrichment Specialist". Not to be used as heading.
We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings; none present.
Now craft HTML.
Structure:
About the role
... (overview)
Responsibilities
- ... each duty
...
Requirements
- ... required qualifications
- ... preferred experience
...
But we need to separate required vs preferred? Could keep as separate lists under Requirements heading: maybe two subheadings? Not allowed; only h3 headings. Could use to differentiate. But we can combine into one list with all items; but we might lose distinction. However we must preserve all substantive info; we can include both required and preferred as separate
paragraphs before list.
Simplify:
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
...
Preferred Experience:
...
That's okay; still using for prose.
Pay section:
Pay
The hourly pay range is $20.00 to $24.00, based on directly related experience, qualifications, and demonstrated competency. Candidates with hands-on home-care, caregiver-transition, participant-support, training, compliance, or care-coordination experience may qualify for the higher portion of the range.
Schedule section:
Schedule
This is a full-time position that combines work from both our Edmonton and Lexington offices with local travel to participants’ homes and community settings. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional schedule adjustments may be necessary when participant needs, caregiver transitions, home visits, or urgent service concerns require timely support.
We also need to include growth/development info? That's under "Pay, Schedule, and Growth". Could be part of Pay section or separate? There's no explicit growth heading; we could incorporate into Pay section as prose: "The position provides experience across Golden Years’ Attendant Care and related service operations. Team members who demonstrate compassion, initiative, reliability, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through may be considered for future professional-development opportunities as organizational needs allow." That's substantive; we should include it. Could add to Pay section or maybe a separate "Growth" section but not in allowed headings. We'll add to Pay section after pay details.
Also include "Why Golden Years" mission/vision. Could add to About the role section as prose.
Now we need to ensure we don't include any boilerplate: remove EEO statement, equal opportunity, reasonable accommodations, etc. Also remove "Apply through Golden Years Careers." Also remove duplicated lines.
Let's extract all substantive content from posting:
- Intro: "Help People Feel Seen, Heard, and Supported Are you someone who can walk into a new situation, help people feel comfortable, and make sure important details are not missed? Golden Years ADHC is seeking a compassionate and organized Life Enrichment Specialist to support participants and caregivers through in-home transitions, home visits, communication, training coordination, and ongoing service follow-up. This is not a traditional recreation or activities position. It is a relationship-centered home-care role that combines office coordination with local travel into participants’ homes. You will help new caregivers understand the home, the participant’s approved support needs, Golden Years expectations, and how to communicate when questions or concerns arise. You will also spend time listening to participants, helping them feel seen and heard, and making sure concerns are documented and routed to the appropriate Care Coordinator, supervisor, or case manager."
- Responsibilities (What You Will Do):
- Help caregivers transition successfully into new participant homes using approved Golden Years handoff and orientation procedures.
- Complete assigned participant home visits and make sure each person has an opportunity to share questions, concerns, preferences, and service experiences.
- Explain caregiver expectations, communication procedures, schedules, participant-specific instructions, and approved service boundaries.
- Confirm that caregivers understand incident reporting, emergency procedures, documentation, confidentiality, infection control, and call-off expectations.
- Communicate participant and caregiver concerns to the appropriate Care Coordinator, supervisor, or conflict-free case manager.
- Document home visits, transitions, attempted contacts, concerns, notifications, actions taken, and next steps in approved systems.
- Coordinate CPR and first-aid training, renewal reminders, and caregiver compliance follow-up. CPR instruction will only be provided when the employee holds the required instructor credentials and is formally assigned to teach.
- Help Care Coordinators maintain communication coverage while they are in the field or away from the office.
- Prepare weekly and monthly calendars, visit schedules, transition plans, caregiver follow-up, and other assigned priorities.
- Contact participants and caregivers before scheduled visits or transitions and confirm that the appropriate people and information will be available.
- Follow up after transitions to identify concerns early and support a safe, dependable start of service.
- Help maintain the assigned company vehicle, including cleanliness, organization, reporting maintenance concerns, and keeping approved supplies ready for field work.
- Respond immediately to urgent health or safety concerns and follow Golden Years incident, protective-services, emergency, and escalation procedures.
- Protect participant choice, dignity, privacy, independence, and freedom from pressure or retaliation.
- Perform other related responsibilities within the employee’s training, authorization, credentials, and assigned role.
- A Typical Day (could be part of responsibilities but we can incorporate as prose maybe not needed as separate list; but we can keep as prose under Responsibilities or as separate paragraph). Since we must preserve all substantive info, we can include as a paragraph under Responsibilities.
- Your First 90 Days: structured onboarding and hands-on training in list items. We'll include as prose or list.
- What Success Looks Like: bullet list.
- Pay, Schedule, and Growth: we already captured.
- Why Golden Years: mission/vision paragraphs.
Now we need to format.
We'll create:
About the role
Help People Feel Seen, Heard, and Supported Are you someone who can walk into a new situation, help people feel comfortable, and make sure important details are not missed? Golden Years ADHC is seeking a compassionate and organized Life Enrichment Specialist to support participants and caregivers through in-home transitions, home visits, communication, training coordination, and ongoing service follow-up. This is not a traditional recreation or activities position. It is a relationship-centered home-care role that combines office coordination with local travel into participants’ homes. Why Golden Years: At Golden Years, exceptional care begins with respect, kindness, empathy, care, and community. Our mission is to treat every day, and every person, as a sacred opportunity to serve. Guided by the Golden Rule, we offer respectful, kind, and empathetic care that uplifts seniors, supports families, and strengthens our community. Our vision is to be the heartbeat of the communities we serve through compassionate care, so every person feels seen, valued, and at home. If you believe a smooth caregiver transition can change someone’s entire experience, and you want meaningful work that combines people, purpose, organization, and community, we would be honored to hear from you. The Golden Rule is The Standard. Support That Feels Like Home.
But note: The "Why Golden Years" paragraph originally had more content; we included it.
Now Responsibilities: we need to list all duties as - . Also include "A Typical Day" and "Your First 90 Days" and "What Success Looks Like" maybe as separate paragraphs under Responsibilities? Could incorporate as prose.
Better to keep Responsibilities as list of duties from "What You Will Do". Then we can add separate sections for "A Typical Day", "Your First 90 Days", "What Success Looks Like" as separate headings? Not allowed headings beyond the list; but we could treat them as prose under Responsibilities.
