About the role

The Life Enrichment Director will oversee a wide range of activities, including social, educational, recreational, spiritual, and therapeutic programs for residents. This includes planning and implementing activities, managing a volunteer and staff team, and promoting resident participation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement quarterly seminars or lecture series for residents, families, and friends.
• Assist the Residents Council and Resident Meetings by participating in their monthly meetings.
• Develop and manage a monthly calendar of activities and print, mail, and post these calendars.
• Edit and publish the monthly newsletter and distribute it to all relevant parties.
• Incentivize and actively promote resident participation in activities and social services through various communication channels.
• Drive residents to planned events, activities, or appointments using the community van.
• Supervise and manage all activities, entertainment, and transportation programs, ensuring they meet the community's standards and cater to diverse interests and abilities.
• Recruit, train, retain, and supervise a team of volunteers and staff.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient use of resources, including human and financial resources within budgetary guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and supervisors to maintain a positive and professional image of the community.
• Handle resident concerns and complaints with care and professionalism.
