Life Enrichment Ambassador

Crestwood Terrace is an Intermediate Care Facility providing care to the mentally ill/behavioral health population (ages 21 and up). Located in a quiet neighborhood, we are one of 3 medical centers on our street.

As a Life Enrichment Ambassador, you’re not just your job title. Your role extends far beyond your job description. You are a friend and family member to each resident. You know their name and their story. You provide compassion and companionship to those in our care. This family aspect is what sets us apart from other health care centers. When someone becomes a resident here, each of us becomes their partner on their journey to healthy living—no matter the illness, injury, or limitation.

You will assist the Activities team in creating a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for adults receiving long-term care and mental health services. Working alongside the team, you’ll help plan and lead recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that encourage participation, recovery, independence, and meaningful connections.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities that encourage resident participation, socialization, and personal growth.
• Work collaboratively with the Activities team to support each resident's individual goals and recovery journey; communicate any concerns to the Activity Director.
• Monitor participation, document progress, and help evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
• Bring fresh ideas to create engaging events, seasonal celebrations, and meaningful daily activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents while promoting social interaction, confidence, and meaningful engagement.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every resident feels respected, valued, and encouraged.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive activity environment.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working in a long-term care or post-acute care setting is preferred, but not required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
• Ability to stand for one-hour intervals for up to 75% of the workday.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination.
