Life Enrichment Coordinator - Independent Living

About the role

Touchmark on West Prospect is the Fox Valley’s leading full-service retirement community, dedicated to enriching the lives of residents and their families through engaging programs, hospitality, and connection. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan and lead activities that bring excitement, purpose, and joy to our Independent Living residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and facilitate daily programs, social events, classes, and excursions that promote wellness across all dimensions — physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual.
• Encourage participation and foster community engagement among residents.
• Cook up special events, intergenerational programs, and outings.
• Coordinate with Dining Services and other departments for community celebrations and theme events.
• Document attendance, participation, and feedback to continuously improve programming.
• Aid in recruiting volunteers and outside entertainers.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A degree or coursework in recreation, hospitality, or human services is preferred.
• Experience planning and leading activities in a senior living, hospitality, or recreational setting is desired.
• Strong organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
• A food handler's certification per state requirements (or willingness to obtain) is required.

Pay

$17.70 - $19.90/hour based on experience.

Schedule

Full Time (weekend and Holiday rotation).
