Life Enrichment Coordinator - FT

Touchmark on South Hill is Spokane’s leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services, and amenities. As a Life Enrichment Coordinator with a focus in our brand-new Claremont and Pembrook neighborhoods, you will enrich lives every day by assisting in the planning, creation, and implementation of an activities program that meets the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents. You will have the daily opportunity to encourage and motivate others and be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and implement activities programs tailored to residents’ needs
• Arrange, organize, and assist with activities such as holiday and birthday celebrations, social events, and exercise programs
• Work collaboratively with team members to support resident engagement
• Maintain confidentiality regarding resident status and medical history
• Model and uphold Touchmark’s values: excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Recreation Therapy student or graduate preferred
• Experience working with dementia residents highly preferred
• Experience with social or recreational activities programs in a healthcare setting, preferably with dementia residents
• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide an annual driving record with favorable results
• Food Handler’s Permit
• Genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment
• Commitment to Touchmark’s values and ability to encourage others to embody them
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, staff, and visitors

Pay

Starting wage at $20/hr and up.

Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday.
